Story
I have set up this crowdfunding page to raise money to help the family of Jay Davison. Jay is 5 years old, he is in Reception class at Isleham Primary School and friends with my son. Earlier in January the family were given the terrible news that Jay has several cancerous brain tumours. Jay has already had one operation and is currently undergoing Chemotherapy at Addenbrookes hospital as well as other tests and medication. Jay is being incredibly brave and courageous as are his parents Keily and Martin. There may well be further ongoing therapy and operations. Whilst Jay is going through his treatment Keily and Martin still have a home to run and 2 other children to care for. Im hopeful we can raise enough money to help the family with all the additional costs they now have, and to allow Martin to have time away from work to be with his family. Thank you for your support.

7 years agoUpdate: We've had a busy few days. A ct scan on his tummy, eye exam, chest x ray, heart scan all culminating in Jay having surgery today to remove his hickman line as the Dr's think it is the source of his infection. They've replaced it with a line in his neck and also put an ng tube in to help keep his weight up. We are back on the ward now and although a bit groggy and grumpy Jay is doing well, finally allowed some squash and is desperate for milkshake, haribo and hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows! His wish will be our command!

7 years agoUpdate: Day 6 and we are still at the hospital and still in isolation. We should have come off barrier tomorrow as the chicken pox hasn't developed. Unfortunately Jay tested positive for norovirus today so we have to stay barriered until his motions are all back to normal, this could take a while with all the different medication they are giving him. Jay is still very sleepy and his temperature keeps going up and down but he has been a little more chatty today and actually played on his Nintendo for 5 mins.

7 years agoUpdate: Still in the hospital 🙁 Jays temperature still hasn't come down plus he has a Poorly tummy all of which are normal I've been assured. They are giving him a platelet transfusion tomorrow, possibly a blood transfusion as well as his levels are so low. Yesterday was not a good day for any of us. Jay slept through most of it and was then awake every hour in the night with sickness and diarrhoea so mummy was a bit zombie like. Daddy to the rescue he left work early to help and let me catch up on a bit of sleep.
