Last night we received news of an injured foal that had been caught up in a bolting stallion's tether and been dragged and flung against a tree and then a lamp post. When we arrived on the scene we feared the worst and with the agreement of the landowners, took him to SAFE HQ. Our Volunteers spent the night nursing him, and thankfully he made it through the night. However, his blood test results came back this morning as quite serious, so he was admitted to the vets for intensive care, where he has been given strong pain relief, antibiotics and put on a drip for dehydration.
