My brother and I are attempting to raise £2000 to add towards a 4 week charity expedition to Cambodia we will be attending in the summer of 2018. Camps International has gotten together with Truro college to offer students the opportunity to take part on a 4-week charity trip to Cambodia and my brother and I have decided to attend.

While on this trip, we will be primarily focusing on helping the local people of Cambodia living in poverty. We will be doing this by assisting the locals in building new houses and schools, better their living conditions and a variety of other charity based activities.

As well as this, we will be playing our part towards the eradicating of poaching and deforestation which is currently a large issue in Cambodia. alongside working to help better the living conditions in the villages and communities, we will be spending time with the local people and children, getting a taste of their culture and lifestyle.

This experience doesn't just benefit the people of Cambodia. As well as helping less fortunate people, me and the rest of my group will have the opportunity to see once in a lifetime sights and experience once in a lifetime moments, and receive 16 UCAS points which will aid me in getting into university in the near future.
