    Story

Husband, Many have been left in shock, despair, and over whelming heartache at the sudden loss of Luke Monckton (Aged 32); A Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew, Brother-in-Law, and Friend.

Luke left behind his five beautiful children: Jensen, Jared, Hallie, Harleigh, and Jacob. He absolutely adored his children, focusing on always making them laugh, whether it be playing games or practical jokes on them. He was the comforter, the listening ear, and the best hugger.

As an extremely hard-working individual, Luke focused on always making his family proud. He dedicated his time to providing for his family, looking after others around him, and putting their needs above his own. He was a generous, compassionate, and benevolent family man.

Enlisting into the Corps of Royal Engineers in 2009, Luke qualified as a class one driver and a class two combat engineer. During his military career, Luke served in the UK, Afghanistan, Kenya, and Canada. Luke’s commanding Officer expressed in his testimonial how his conduct throughout service was of exemplary nature. Luke made all his family exceptionally proud.

Luke was always motivated, spending all his time in the end working as a HGV driver, or dedicating every second he had looking after his beautiful family, rarely having time for himself. He always had a dream to live in Canada, drive a Mustang, and own a house big enough for a kitchen island.

Luke was always so personable, approachable, and funny.

With such a quick-witted, charismatic, and charming personality, those around him were uplifted by his aura. Always cracking jokes, Luke thrived on making those around him smile and feel happy. This is what Luke’s family wanted for him to; they always returned the same love and happiness, focusing on ensuring he knew and felt how much he was truly loved by all… Unfortunately, when someone is battling their inner difficulties on their own, supressing them from the world; keeping them hidden from loved ones, it is difficult for those closest to truly understand the pain and suffering. Luke’s family express their deepest sadness that they didn’t understand the pain he was carrying around with him for so long, to which they will truly be sorry for the rest of their days.

When a family loses a loved one to suicide there are no words that anyone can say to help ease the pain and suffering… This aims to help ease some of the financial burden that the family will have to contend with, enabling them to grieve and process the loss of Luke in their own time, without the added worry of financial stress.

The money raised will be split across 3 different areas > 70% to Luke’s 5 Children, 20% toward Funeral costs, & 10% toward a deposit for new accommodation for Luke’s older brother, Adam, who is unable to return to his flat due to circumstances around Luke’s passing.

Please, to all who may be suffering in silence… DON’T! There is always someone you can turn to; whether it be a loved one, a neighbour, or even a stranger over the phone, never suffer in silence. Reach out, speak out, and voice up if you are suffering.
