    Story

Ever since I was a child I have had long hair, which has never really been cut (the occasional trim or once when I had my hair cut to my shoulders) I love my long hair even with the odd grey hair :-) However I have been toying with the idea of having my hair cut again but not just because I fancy a change in style but for a good cause. I would like to donate my hair to the little princess trust that will then make wigs for children who have children in the UK who have sadly lost their hair to cancer treatment. Cancer is a horrible disease and at some point in all our lives it will affect someone that we know and love and it is devastating for all involved.

I plan to cut my hair to my shoulders and I measured the excess length the other day at it is 13 inches that I will be cutting off. Obviously by the time I cut it it may be even longer. I will be cutting my hair at the beginning of January and will record it and post online so you can all see. Once the Princess Trust receive my hair they will send me an email with a certificate to confirm that they have my hair and I will post this online also as proof that your kind donations were for a genuine reason.

Now as Club Fundraiser for my sons Football Club I had the bright idea of combining the two. I would love you all to sponsor me to cut off my hair for this amazing charity and at the same time you will be helping this local club raise valuable funds that will go towards our winter training facilities, their presentation evening and trophies, and training kits for all the children.

Forestdale Football Club was established last season and we had 3 teams last year. With the support of the parents we raised enough money for the children to be given rain jackets, train at Powerleague in the winter months and they were given a great presentation evening with amazing trophies. This season we have grown and now we have got 5 teams.

As Fundraiser for Forestdale Football Club I have loved organising the events as I am a bit of a control freak and perfectionist :-) If cutting my hair to make a wig for a small child will put a smile to their face then this is a small price to pay.
