Im lyndsey, 29, from England. My partner is Karina, 24, from Mexico. We have been together for 3 years now and we are engaged to be married.

I am a full time carer for my grandmother who is disabled. I have taken care of her since i was 15 and lived with her since i was 17. As a result of this i am unable to work a “normal” job because i am needed to take care of her. I receive carers allowence and income support. Thats all. Karina comes from a very poor country and she doesnt have a lot of money either

Karina fell in love with me and i fell in love with her. She makes me happy. She makes me smile. She is the light of my life and i cant wait to marry her.

As a result of me caring for my Grandmother, i don’t cover the minimum amount threshould for Kari moving here to marry me. I am also trying to afford to marry her here. After saving every penny (literally) for the past 2 years, i am still over £1400 under the amount i need for me to marry the woman i love and have her move here and help me take care of nana and work to get us a home and family of our own.
