For those of you who still dont know what happened to me, i will explain. At the beginning of february i had a serious heart attack - i stupidly ignored it as i didnt realise what was happening to me. I suffered a further one several days later, and ended up in hospital where my family were told i only had a 50% chance of making it through the night. Well i made it ! Unfortunately not for long as the operation was not completely successful So I had to go back in and have a procedure done, which had less risk and i got past that one.

To cut a long story short i was in hospital for 5-6 weeks and in a induced coma for 3 of those. I have had the worst time of my life, but I am now slowly and surely getting back to normal. I have lost a lot of heart function, and im gradually trying to build up my body strength again. I am so lucky to be alive. At one stage my heart had such a bad tear that the good and bad blood were mixing, causing kidney and liver failure as well.

The staff at brighton RSCH cardio department and surgeons are all fantastic, and saved my life more than once. Please donate to the gofundme account I am setting up for them in order to say thank you. You never know when you will need them.

Please everyone that knows me dont ignore what your body is telling you. I am one of the lucky ones, it could so of easily gone the other way. Our NHS is on its knees, and needs as much help as it can get. This came really apparent to me. Our NHS staff are to be treasured. My long recovery is starting, but I hope to see alot of you this year as I gain my strength physically and mentally.
