Story
This is Rosie. She is a 11 year old King Charles Spaniel.
This is my mum's dog.
We had to take her in recently because my mum was taken into hospital. My mum had not been taking care of herself properly and became very ill.
My mum had also not been taking care of this mature lady either for quite some time.
Unfortunately Rosie is in quite a bad way. She was sleeping in dirty bedding, she wasn't going out for walks so all her joints are stiff, her teeth are rotten and need to be removed and she hasn't had any boosters for a number of years and so will need to start her vaccinations all over again. But before we can start all that she needs an ultra sound scan on her heart as she has a heart murmur and blood tests to check the function of her liver and kidneys. This is to see if she will cope with general anaesthetic.
This girl has been negelected for a number of years and we would just like to give her the chance of spending her golden years being more comfortable.
Since she's been at my home she goes out for regular walks, (short ones to build up her stamina), which she gets very excited about, she has regular meals and plenty of fresh water. She loves dental sticks (although her teeth are past that point now) and she has a companion in the form of my mischievous two year Shih Tzu cross Chewy. As annoying as he is she never leaves his side.
Rosie is happy here. She likes her cuddles and sniffing in the grass with Chewy. There's still some life in her yet so if you could please help us raise some money for the tests she needs to get her on the road to recovery.
