Story
I have the honour of being selected for the England Deaf women’s team to play in the first ever World Deaf 7’s tournament being held in Sydney, Australia in April this year. The England Deaf Rugby Union - EDRU is a charity, and so as players we are tasked with raising the funds to cover the costs of travel and accommodation.
Like many others in the EDRU set up when we meet to train or play it is the only time I socialise with other deaf people who understand the issues faced by being deaf. We have an exceptional bond.
This is a fantastic opportunity and will be the first International game for the England Deaf Women.
My Nan has just reached the incredible age of 100 & has family in Australia that we haven't seen for over 30 years. I would like to take just a few days to meet them to be able to share with my Nan on my return.
I need to raise £1800 & would really appreciate any support any of you could give to help make this possible. Please share to help me get there. Thank you
