Red Gate School is an amazing school for children with special needs always in need for new equipment, toys, activity materials for about 40 very special youngsters, one of the is our Kamelija Kate ( Katie ).
As a mom who is frustrated that our world is upside down and normal really is just a setting on something, I have found that running it all out helps me to calm down and carry on.
So ... My lovely friend Hayley signed us up for a Masnsfield 10k Marathon and I decided to use this as a fund rise for school and rise awareness of what exactly is special school and what they do. There for infected our Hayley with idea and we are bouth doing it for Red Gate School !!
Currently have set target of 200£ to be raised as I have never done this before and trying to be optimistic, but also realistic.
Marathon takes place on 16.09.2018.
On the day we will be wearing a T-shirt with Red Gate logo and colourful hand prints will be left on it by all Red Gate students. Also will use this time to hand out information about special education to as many people it is possible, to make them aware of what exactly special schools do and attempt to break a stereotype of wheelchairs or only autism affected children attending a special school.
