In order to raise money for our borneo volunteering project me and jamie are going to walk the saints way, which is a 27mile walk across cornwall in a day. we will be doing this on the 26th of may, our aim is to raisie £250 each to go towards the projects we work on in borneo any donations will be greatly appreciated.

We are Fowey River Academy year 10 students we are volunteering to work on projects in Borneo with Camps International in July 2019. Camps International is a registered UK charity that runs camps in 10 countries on 4 continents. The charity works with rural and indigenous communities around the world to improve their living standards and facilities. Focusing on improving access to proper education, training and healthcare. They also work to secure fresh clean water and shelter for those most in need. Other projects include the conservation of wilderness and prevention of deforestation.

Whilst on the expedition we will be working on a local project between 8:00 – 17:00 each day for 4 weeks within the local community. These are real projects that leave a lasting benefit to the local community and include building school buildings, wells, shelter and beneficial infrastructure.
