Hi. My name is Maddy Shah Scott and in the summer of 2017, I am taking part in an Outward Bound Skills for Life Award in Loch Eil, Scotland. Last year I was offered a scholarship for a 19 day course which will test my strength and determination as well as giving me the confidence to push myself further and cope in unfamiliar situations. From hiking up mountains to jumping into waterfalls, the course will push me to the edge of my comfort zone and hopefully make me gain more independence.
In order to raise the money, I will be doing cake sales, a sponsored sport event, a summer BBQ and getting a Saturday job.
This course will give me a great sense of achievement - from fundraising £824 to doing a challenging course for 3 weeks, miles away from home!
