Ria and Chloe are going to be skydiving in October to raise money for a piece of assitive technology known as an EyeGaze for a young boy (cant use name due to safegaurding) with a life limiting condition and complex needs.

The young boy is 8 years old with a mental age of an 8 month old, he relies totally in the people around him to keep him safe, and meet all of his needs. The young boy has a rare form of epilepsy which means he has seizures constantly throughout the day, some of which limit his airways. He has limited to no use of his arms or legs, and no spoken speech. He is currently on 24hr observations and monitoring at home he requires oxygen throughout day and night. He is unable to eat or drink and is fed through a tube in his stomach and his intestine known as a PEG and JEG. He requires physio and regular nebulisers throughout the day due to having pseudomonas (damage to the lungs)

The young boy enjoys various childrens programme on his ipad and loves being in his sensory room. The assitive technology we are raising money for will track his eye movements to enable him to have more control and independence using his Ipad, and enjoy playing mind stimulating games throughout the day.
