As you probably all know, my dad has dementia and now lives in a care home in Stone, which is just outside Aylesbury. Chiltern View belongs to the Brendoncare Foundation. Unfortunately his dementia has led to some very challenging behaviour so he was moved to Chiltern View just over a year ago where they are able to manage his behaviour and along with all the other residents that are there. As this can be so upsetting to see, not all residents have family or friends visit them, which can make fundraising very difficult. The staff are absolutely amazing and I wouldn’t want my dad to be anywhere else, but I think Chiltern View is more overlooked than a lot of other care homes. We can’t hold big open days etc as it would be too overwhelming for the residents, so we are constantly battling to raise money!! We are in the process of trying to raise £6000 for a portable sensory table. Resources like this have been shown to help “difficult” or “withdrawn” residents with dementia. My dad and his new friends will all benefit greatly.

As well as my crowdfunding page, my choir, the Jupiter singers are also holding a concert on 4th December 8pm at Tring Church and all the proceeds will be given to Chiltern View towards the sensory table. Everybody's welcome. If you can't come then I would be really grateful if you could donate any amount of money here, £1 or a £1000!!!
