On the 21st June, the world lost a very special lady when my dear friend Marion McKillop sadly lost her battle with cancer. She was such a positive person, and she was so determined not to let cancer take over her life, or define who she was....she will be very sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

When Marion started losing her hair due to the chemotherapy, she was so brave....she simply bought a wig and carried on with her life. I was so inspired by Marion’s bravery, that I wanted to pay tribute to her in a special way....so on Wednesday 29th August, I will be shaving off all my hair to raise money in memory of Marion. This will not be an easy thing for me to do at all....my hair has been my identity for many years, so the thought of shaving it all off is utterly terrifying! Other people can do bungee jumps, marathons etc, but me shaving my hair off is the most extreme thing I could do.....eeek!! I will post photos on here of the event when it happens, just to prove that I went through with it!

All money raised will go to Ward 4 at the Western General Hospital, whose doctors and nurses looked after Marion so well during her final days.

Marion was such a special person and was always there for anyone who needed help, so I hope you will find it in your hearts to donate generously in her honour.
