Story
I am doing Dry January to raise funds for a special charity that I support.
The Friends of Icmeler Street Cats is a registered Turkish charity run by Peter and Kath from the UK who live in Icmeler. They provide food all year round for the street cats, pay for neutering to reduce the cat population and ensure any sick or injured cat receives immediate vet care.
If I can raise £200 by giving up alcohol for a month it will help this small charity. £200 would pay for 12 large sacks of cat food or 4 tomcats to be neutered
Just neutering 4 tomcats would prevent 200,000 unwanted street cat kittens being born over a period of 10 years and would also reduce fight injuries.
If you own a cat / or are an animal lover - please help me raise funds for this wonderful cat charity - even the smallest of donations would be greatly appreciated.

7 years agoThree weekends down .. one to go - can't believe how quick this month is flying by .. and also this challenge. I was warned I would eat more and that certainly kicked in this weekend - my body must be craving the calories it is not getting from wine. I am so pleased to say that if I add the money I have collected on a sponsor form to the Just giving page I have reached my target .... such great news for the cat charity ... So anything extra now is a bonus. So if you haven't sponsored me yet I still have 8 days to go!

7 years agoTwo weekends down ... two to go .. and I haven't cracked yet! It was J2O in the pub last night. I bought a bottle of alcohol free wine to enjoy at home ... well enjoy might not be quite the right word - have you tried it - . think I will stick to Scholer and wait for my large glass of wine that will be waiting for me on 1st Feb!
