Story
Steve Ditchburn, Stuart Robinson, Lee Ingram, Mark McDougall and Tom Dart, from the E&I Maintenance Team here at Woodsmith mine, Whitby are preparing to take part in the National Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise money for some local children’s sports teams and charities close to our hearts.
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England, and Wales within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052 ft)
We will be starting our ascent on September 11th 2021, and we would greatly appreciate any sponsorship we can raise for our chosen charities and clubs. Our employer, Angloamerican, have kindly offered to match whatever we raise and we cannot thank them enough for this amazing gesture. Please give what you can and we thankyou for your generosity.
