We are Make a Wave Theatre!

A group of second year students currently studying Drama, Applied Theatre and Education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

In May, we are heading off to Manchester for two weeks to deliver a series of drama/theatre workshops with looked after children and care leavers, in partnership with youth charity Greater Manchester Youth Network.

This partnership provides us with the opportunity to both engage young people in positive activities and to train youth work staff in drama education strategies.

We will be providing a range of workshops that allow participants to create drama and theatre inspired performance and then provide opportunities for them to perform at our ‘Sharers Day’ which takes place at the end of the project. We will work with themes around communication skills, team building and confidence.

We are hoping to raise funds to support both our workshop delivery and ‘Sharer’s Day’ and to cover the costs of transport and accommodation. As much as we cannot wait to get started with this project, we cannot do it alone. We would truly appreciate any donation you can offer.
