    Story

Our 7 year old son Max is disabled; he has a condition called Lissencephly. He doesn't walk, talk, feed himself or give himself drinks. He has 6 types of epileptic seizures every day, mainly at night that mainly manifest in his stomach. This causes major tummy issues and loss of sleep for everyone!

We moved house 3 years ago ( by doubling our mortgage) so we could have a downstair bedroom and bathroom with a ceiling track so Max can be hoisted, he now weighs 35kg, into bed and his wheelchair, stander and other equipment.

We now need to make our kitchen wheelchair accessible by knocking the wall down between the kitchen and dining room, widening the door to allow wheelchairs to enter and to make the floor level to the front door. This extra space will allow Max to have room to use his chair in the kitchen and also allow us to always keep a close watch on him, as his seizures can happen any time. At the moment if one of us isn't with Max we run back and forth when we need to go into kitchen.
