During the trip to Malawi, we will be visiting many of the projects set up by sponsors, like our school. Some of the projects that we may be visiting include the Sadi village stove project, the tree planting project, the special needs project the Jali Youth Centre and Mbedza crafts. These projects aim to improve quality of life, awareness towards HIV as well as testing, sanitary health and improvement to the environment. Although the environment may seem like a strange thing to focus on in Malawi, Malawians depend massively on the weather to grow crops and prevent famine. Furthermore, if nothing changes in Malawi, it is predicted that they will run out of trees by 2033. This would be a disaster for the people of Malawi, as they not only depend on it for firewood and building materials, but also for the quality of the land and habitats of animals.
