Story
In October 2019 a group of serviceman will embark on the trek of a lifetime which will take them 18 days to complete. The trek up to Mount Everest Base Camp will take 12 days to reach and cover over 120km and take us to heights of up to 5.2km above sea level. The trek will be a massive challenge for all of the group and we will need to train exceptionally hard over the next 14 - 18 months. Training for the trek will begin in Jan 2018 and will start with getting used to walking with weight; 25kg Bergan tabs. We will be taking part in the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge not once but twice in 2018 both in the summer and the winter.
The trek to base camp will be very dangerous and will be hugely demanding on our bodies. In 2015 19 people lost their lives on this trek so it should not be taken lightly.
The charities that will be benefiting from our fundraising will be; The RAF Benevolent Fund, Help for Heroes (which both help servicemen through the hardships of injury and hard times). The third charity will be a little known charity called the Ally Cadence trust, which helps children suffering from spinal muscular atrophy. This charity is very close to each of the groups hearts as a very close friends daughter suffers from this and we want to do as much as we possibly can for them.

The group as a whole has raised over £8000 in the past 2 years for charities such as; The Firefighters charity, The RAF Benevolent fund and Macmillan cancer research.
We are hoping to raise as much as we possibly can and the funds raised will be split into 3 equal amounts and distributed to the 3 chosen charities.
We hope that you will see we are very genuine and choose to support our fundraising and help with anything you possibly can, weather that be 10p or £10 every little helps, let us thank you for your support in this and for any donation you leave us.
