So in January me and my family filled the doggy shaped hole in our hearts with the wonderful Margot. My father and I spent week after week visiting Merseyside's Dogs Trust looking for our perfect companion, we were close to giving up when we saw her. She seemed so happy to see us and we knew straight away that we had to take her home. My mum was totally against us having another dog since the heartbreak of loosing our first dog Ruby was so hard to deal with. In the end my dad and I took my mum to meet Margot (her name was Hope when we first met her). Mum took one look at the gorgeous pup with her big brown eyes and little pink belly and fell inlove with her straight away. Over the following weeks we took our loved ones to meet her and they all fell in love with her too!

Now Margot has been living in her forever home with us for nearly 2 years. But now the happiest, softest, most playful monster you'll ever meet is suffering with damage to her cruciate ligament. It's so hard to see her in pain :( She's been taken to see a specialist who has advised that surgery to the cost of £3409 will be required if she is to continue living a happy, healthy life. Not going ahead with the surgery could lead to deterioration in her other leg which would lead to her not being able to walk. Of course Margot has been insured since the first day we brought her home, but our insurers only cover up to £750 for cruciate ligament claims (dont get me started). We have 3 options; 1. Surgery as soon as possible 2. say no to surgery and hope for the best but that will end in more suffering or 3. The unspeakable, saying good bye to our little love way too soon. 2 and 3 definitely aren't options for us.

In total I'll need to pay £2800 (approximately), and like most people i dont have that lying around. So if you could find it in your heart to donate, even if its the smallest amount, it would be so so so appreciated. I know its an ambitious target but my best furry friend and I will love you for any help you can offer.

P.s if you can take some time go to the dogs trust website or your local centres to see the amazing work they do and donate if you can. They're a brilliant charity that do everything in their power to give unlucky dogs all over the country a better life.
