Story
Being a nurse you come across some amazingly brave people. But there's one who stands out above them all. His name is Ben King
I've agreed to do a 100 kilometre walk around the Trough of Bowland over the course of 24 hrs in aid of BK's Heroes... Ben King (the BK in BK's Heroes). Ben had an inoperable brain tumour the size of an apple and kidney disease & sadly died in February last year.
Despite crippling pain, he was raising money to help other people with brain and kidney diseases up until the day he died, and was passionate about sport and fitness, even when he couldn't do it himself any more.
BK's heroes was the charity he set up before he died, and is now run by his family in support of people with life limiting conditions & awareness of brain and kidney diseases.
