Mark Creedy Smith - tree dedication in Hyde Park.

Mark Creedy-Smith was a dedicated BMF member who sadly passed away in 2011. A keen green for 5 years who rarely missed a session, Mark loved, as we all do, the camaraderie, challenge and friendships that come with being a BMF member. His partner, our very own Adrienne Truelove, has finally had permission granted for a tree to be dedicated in his name in Hyde Park. It is in the Triangle car park near the Serpentine Lake (right where we meet up for sessions) and is a one year old pin oak which the park keepers will maintain for the tree’s life.

The Royal Parks Foundation is the charity for London's eight Royal Parks – helping the lungs of London to breathe and our donation of £1,000 would not only pay for the dedication to Mark and the upkeep of the tree, but it will also help them to preserve heritage, educate school children, promote well-being and conserve nature in the 5,000 acres of London’s Royal Parks.
