Story
Motorcyclists account for 1% of road users, yet they account for 25% of serious injuries.
Bikers are 25% more likely to be seriously hurt on the roads than car drivers.
The first 60 minutes after a severe motorcycle related trauma is known as the 'golden hour'.
DocBike is the first active two-wheeled road going lifesaving Doctor Bike in the UK. As well as providing this amazing service they attend bike meets and events and play a key role in engaging with riders, delivering key road safety messages and bringing bikers of all kinds into post-test training.
This year, 2019, Relay Riders UK are supporting the DocBike Charity by raising funds by means of a relay carrying a mascot around the UK non-stop over two weeks in June/July.
In this year's relay I will be riding a leg between Barrow-in-Furness and Whitehaven and would be very appreciative if you would sponsor me for this ride. If we reach the target of £200 my employer will add 25% to the total, up to a maximum addition of £250.
