Since moving to Todmorden I have tried through my little Outdoor company to raise money for community projects in the area. Last year my family and friends riased monies for a variety of Golden Lion initiatives by partaking in a Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.

I was fortunate enough to be able volunteer and help Gigs at the Golden Lion on Xmas day and see for first hand the excellent work that takes place in this community pub and how some of the money was used to help those less fortunate.

This year i have been inspired by the amazing women in Todmorden - Jamima,Clare and Sonya, who have swam outside every day in the month of January. I was blessed to share some of those experiences with them and felt that maybe I could fllow their steps and strokes and do the same.

So , me at Simply Outdoors plans to:

- swim in the wild and wonderful outdoors for ever day in the month of Feb,

_not shave for a month and

-stay dry and free from alcohol.

All the monies raised will be used to continue to support the fantastic work at the Golden Lion. Thankyou for your support
