Myself and my team are raising funds to help vulnerable 12 – 25 year olds over the festive period who for whatever reason have found themselves without the usual comforts we associate with Christmas. We are running charity days in the office, giving out Christmas gift packs, helping in soup kitchens and donating funds to London charities who work with these youngsters all year round.
My team and I have set up the Foundation – a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to energising futures and providing opportunities to young people who, for whatever reason, are disadvantaged and see their prospects limited. Our Foundation is still in it's early stages but we are working with other like minded charities this Christmas to make a different to those that Christmas is not always such a happy time for.
Over the next seven months our first summit will be arranged and will take place, as well as many other support workshops & events. In the immediate future we will be delivering packs to our chosen charities in the lead up to Christmas & supporting their activities over the holiday period. We will be posting photos and writing about it all so you can see what we have been up to!
The money will be spent on Christmas gift packs including toiletries, socks, hats, games & food, on helping fund our chosen charities, and further down the line on summits attended by vulnerable young people under 25 from our community, where they will receive guidance on life, health, employment, leadership to help them deal with challenging situations. All along the way we are partnering with schools, other charities, youth coaching societies in our area
