This is our 18 year old daughter Lucy. She was diagnosed at the age of 5 with having a faulty gene (MFN2) that affects her nerves & muscles which she will have for the rest of her life. She is unable to wiggle her toes, walk unaided (without equipment), manage stairs, all the things we take for granted.
We are raising money to buy equipment she desperately needs to help her live an independent life. She has recently started university and the money raised will go towards some new equipment which is essential. This equipment will help her obtain a better quality of life and more importantly keep her as independent as possible. Lucy wants more than anything to feel just like everyone else!
