£450raised of £1,500 target by 24 supporters

Weʼve raised £450 to Help fund 2 PAD's (Public Access Defibrillators) that will be positioned at the Hub St Lukes Rd and the shopping area Straight Road

    Old Windsor, United Kingdom
Funded on Sunday, 19th February 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Access to a defibrillator can increase the survival rate of a heart attack victim from 6% to 74% in conjunction with CPR.
Having a public access defibrillator in two new locations in Old Windsor could save the life of someone you know.
For every one minute delay in delivering the shock, the chance of survival reduces by up to 10%.
The PAD's will be in a secure box on the wall and can be accessed in the event of a heart attack by calling the number on the box and receiving the access code.
All the public access defibrillators in the village will be registered with Southern Central Amblamce Service.
The community response team do run first aid courses and confidence in using PAD's and AED are covered if you would like to refresh your skills
