Story
On 22nd May 2017, my friend and his daughter were out to have an amazing night watching Ariana Grande perform at the Manchester Arena, a night that changed their lives forever. Martin and Eve were the closest people to the bomb who survived and without the incredible skill, care and talent of the staff at Salford Royal, Manchester Childrens Hospital and later on the Spinal Injury Unit at Southport, their lives would not have been saved.
A year on from the tragic events I am taking part in my first (and last!) marathon on Sunday 20th May in Liverpool to raise monies for Martin's charity which will support the three medical centres that cared for Martin and his daughter.
Martin's strength, determination and attitude since that fateful night has been nothing short of inspirational and I would be grateful if you could be kind enough to make a donation to this worthy charity and allow Martin to return the support both he and his daughter are forever grateful for.

6 years agoThank you to everyone who supported me. We managed to raise over £500 for Martin's charity which is fantastic...I got round in 3hrs 31mins despite the heat but I'm thrilled we have managed to raise so much money for Martins charity. He is trying to raise £1mil for the 3 medical centres and today he completed the Manchester 10km in a wheelchair, a year from him waking up in hospital with life changing serious injuries. He is not finished and is planning to complete the Boston marathon.........please keep supporting this fantastic cause.

Well done Andrew. I'm knackered after a twenty-six mile drive in this weather. In all seriousness, though, even with the air-con, it's still pretty hard. In all all seriousness: good effort!
