    Story

As you will sadly be aware, we have lost a well-respected and much loved member of the Bombardier family, Martyn Gall. Martyn was hit by a car whilst taking part in an organised cycling event on Saturday 14 November.

Martyn started with us in 2001, as a Control Centre Manager. In 2009 he moved to the control centre in Birmingham, moving to Central Rivers in 2010 where he stayed until 2018. During that time he held a number of roles including Production and Planning Controller and Planning Co-ordinator.

In 2018, Martyn made the move to Old Oak Common where he joined the Crossrail Team as Planning Manager. Martyn was an integral member of the team and was instrumental in establishing our operational capabilities at the new Old Oak Common Depot. He was extremely well regarded and will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time. In tribute to Martyn’s passing the depot have set up a crowd funding page to help his family at this tragic time. Martyn, 41 leaves a dedicated wife and two adoring teenage daughters.

    Mark Coleman

    Depot operations manager.
