In March 2018, a group of volunteers from Malvern St James will be taking part in an expedition to a remote school in Gambia, the Success Nursery School. Over the past twenty years, volunteers from the school have helped to improve the education and school environment. This March, a group of about twenty of us will be going to provide a mechanised water pump to greatly improve the school life. As a part of this, each of us need to raise at least £300 to cover the cost of the pump. In order to fundraise, in October I will be taking part in a challenging sponsored climb on a local indoor climbing wall, where I am going to climb non-stop for five hours. I would be very grateful for any sponsorship, and funds towards this incredible cause, helping to improve the lives of schoolchildren one step at a time.
