Story
On Sunday 15th April I will be running (and hopefully finishing) Brighton Marathon, my first ever Marathon. A great opportunity to raise some money for ‘Esme’s Fund’ - a helping hand.
Esme is blossoming into the cutest, independent, bright and giggly ray of sunshine. She was diagnosed with hemiplegia cerebral palsy a year and a half ago. Sarah and Adam are incredible parents to Esme and have been so positive and active in her development. No limits, no expectations, just discovery and encouragement. Just look at her! Living room assault courses are my personal favourite.
We had brunch with the Hills not long ago and up popped a conversation about a recent purchase of an orthopaedic sock. The sock has been made to fit for Esme and cost the better part of £500. This will help to improve the mobility and stability of her foot and in turn her gait. If Esme benefits from this sock it will need replacing as she grows every 6 to 12 months.
This is just one item, there may be lots of other pieces that Esme will benefit from as she grows. Not to forget the costs of ongoing physio.
Sarah and Adam of course would never ask for a bean! But I know there are so many of us who want to give and support.
So let’s start ‘Esme’s Fund’ - a helping hand.
If I could raise enough for her next orthopaedic sock that would be fantastic.
Thank you all!
