As some of you may know, myself and Joan are involved with JVA Ltd and we have been helping out with their soup kitchen.

JVA supports the veteran community and vulnerable adults who find themselves homeless or struggling in today's society due to sanctions in the Greater Manchester and Salford boundaries. The organisation provides food, clothing and sign posting support. They also offer assistance to those veterans who are suffering from PTSD, combat stress and issues relating to drug/alcohol abuse and other mental illnesses caused by conflicts undertaken whilst serving. Their goal is for the veterans and vulnerable adults they supoort to be able to live happily and independently.

In order to raise much needed funds for the organisation to continue its valuable work, we are both doing the Race at Your Pace September Challenge and running 25 miles during the month of September.
