Hi!

My name is Victoria & I am crowdfunding for my local special needs school - Mary Elliot.

Mary Elliot School is the only school in Walsall, West Midlands that caters for children age 11-19 with severe and complex disabilities & needs.

Unfortunately due to budget cuts from the council which have been passed from government our lovely school is having to now pay for services that were once provided as part of the package of care that a specialist school should receive.

Things are tight as you can imagine! So a group of friends & parents at the school have set up a PTA style group called - FOME - Friends Of Mary Elliot. Our aim is to work with the School council to find out what areas need fundraising for around the school & to try & help raise that money.

As a parent of a disabled child I think it is important to help in any way you can & that’s what we are all trying to do - make a difference - BUT we can’t do it on our own.

So I have decided to run a Half Marathon at Stafford on 15th April 2018 to raise money for our school and Cathedral to Castle 10 mile race on the 8th April 2018, this won’t be any easy task as I am a beginner to running & will have to train upto & beyond that distance but I am doing it for a great cause.

I hope you can get behind me in anyway you can & any donation will be greatly received.
