We are raising money to fund the materials needed to make mastectomy pillows and drain bags. The money raised will also fund the posting of goods made by our lovely group of UK machinists.

Has anyone got a little bit of free time and fabric to help make mastectomy pillows and drain bags for women undergoing double mastectomies in the UK?

This first came about 2 years ago when i had a double mastectomy and was given 2 bright yellow paper gift bags to carry my drains....try taking those into the shower room and expect them to survive! After a bit of research i discovered that there was a few small comforts that may have helped. Since then i have made the odd few drain bags and pillows but demand has grew.

If you find you do wish to help, join my page on Facebook and see the attached files, here you will find a few patterns (kindly scouted form the internet) after you have made a pair of pillows or bags (or both) then send them to my address in the pinned post. I will forward them onto their forever homes.

The group also has members from other mastectomy support groups and I'm sure these women would love to see your mastectomy makes and kind wishes.
