Story
Hi everyone.
I am a 31 year old guy with Muscular Dystrophy who loves playing powered wheelchair football. Its great to be able to play sport competitively and to socialise with like minded individuals. I play for the Wessex Warriors PFC which is based in Dorset and we train every fortnight, we play competitive matches in the South East regional league. The chairs are provided to us by the club to use but these are only on loan from the WFA (Wheelchair Football Association). These chairs are only a temporary measure to enable us to be able to play. They're not set up to the individual and its difficult to play to ones potential when you're not comfortable in the chairs. The chairs will eventually need to be returned to the WFA so I need to fundraise for my own chair to be able to improve and carry on playing the sport I love. I would be extremely grateful to anyone who decides to donate to my cause.
Thank you for taking the time to view and donate to my crowdfund, Its very much appreciated.

7 years agoThank you very much for all of you who have donated since my last update. I have now received a grant of £500 from the Richard Overall Trust to put towards the coast of the chair. My father has also donated £500. I have applied to The Joseph Patrick Trust for a grant of £1000 but I won't know if I'm successful with that one until February. I am now close to having £2000 towards the £8000 that's needed. Hope you all had a good Christmas and happy New Year.

8 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has donated towards my wheelchair so far. You have all been so generous and your donation will make a big difference towards getting to my goal. Whoever just donated £100, wow you are amazingly generous and it makes me so happy knowing others care. I have contacted the company who will be supplying the chair and will shortly be receiving a written quote. This will then enable me to contact some charities that provide grants, I will let you know how this goes in my next update. Thank you so much Matthew
