Maureen will be going back to Kenya with her mother for a funeral and her final resting place. Arrangements are being made for her last journey back to Nairobi, and those wishing to contribute to this can do so on this page.

The loss of Maureen has not only been felt by immediate family and friends, but spans to many others far and wide.
Her struggle with renal failure had lasted over a decade, with many ups and downs along the way. Despite the severe setbacks to her health, Maureen lived her life to the fullest, always bringing a smile to the faces of people around her, caring for others even during the most difficult times of her own life. She campaigned tirelessly to bring awareness of the disease she herself suffered from, and the importance of organ and blood donation.

To those that have known her, or knew of her, she will be remembered as a beautiful soul, an inspirational young woman, who will live on in our in our hearts.
