Weʼve raised £460 to Send the England Deaf Rugby 7s squad to the deaf 7s world cup.

Funded on Thursday, 5th April 2018

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

I am currently looking to raise funds to enable me to represent my country in the next Deaf Rugby World Championships which are set to take place in Australia in April 2018. As the England Deaf Rugby Union (EDRU) are a registered charity, which operates on an amateur basis, we do rely on sponsorship and donations. Therefore, to ensure England are able participate in the 2018 World championships, the players (myself included) are self-funding this tournament, and so I would like to ask for your help!

If anyone is in a position to donate, no matter how much, I would be really grateful for any support.

Funds will be used to cover costs of travel, accommodation etc and are currently estimated around £1500.00 per player. If however, final costs are less, any surplus funds raised will be donated to the EDRU charity.

Please get in touch if you have any fund raising ideas.

    Max

    Many thanks

I am delighted to announce that I have reached 50% of my target with on-line and off-line donations. Big thank you to everyone who has already sponsored me. Since the Deaf All Black Series its good to be back into the swing of things with Tring RFU. The England Deaf Side will also be playing Wales Deaf on the 24th Feb, so save the date. Any donation big or small is much appreciated. Max

Last week was surreal, playing a role in the 3-0 series win against the Deaf All Blacks. The commitment from the players, coaches, interpreters, physios and back team staff was phenomenal on and off the pitch. Time to get back into the gym and down to Tring Rugby club to get even fitter for the Deaf Rugby Sevens World Cup in Australia next year. Despite small financial assistance from the RFU - we are taking upon ourselves to raise the sufficient funds to get the team to Sydney! Any donation great or small is hugely appreciated.
