In July of 2022, The Cabinet Office in the United Kingdom announced that the country was entering a 'Cost of Living Crisis.' The Big Issue newspaper defines a cost of living crisis as "a situation in which the cost of everyday essentials like groceries and bills are rising faster than average household incomes." The UK was reported to be among the worst affected among the world's advanced economies.

The BLISS centre in London is striving to stay afloat during these difficult times.
