I'm a 16 year old looking for donations to give me the opportunity to travel to central America with WorldChallenge® to support development projects in Nicaragua next summer.
Coming from a highly developed country means I rarely have to go through any of the hardship that the impoverished people of Nicaragua and Costa Rica have to endure each day. Many of them have never known anything other than poverty. As someone who can actually change that, even if it is only a small change, means I want to help those people to ease them through their circumstances which have been imposed on them through no fault of their own. I feel it's our duty, as the more fortunate ones of a developed country, to help people in poverty stricken areas of the world; Nicaragua especially.
So, with that said, a group of us from Downfield 6th form (Stroud, Gloucestershire) are going on an expedition to central America for a month in the summer of 2017. The main aim being to serve a remote community by creating a brand new, much needed classroom to benefit the young children of the area. It's also a brilliant opportunity for self-improvement and it will inevitably give me a different view on life.
So, this page is for anybody wanting to do their own bit to help me to help a community of Nicaragua. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and hope you can support me to achieve this amazing challenge,
