Meet & Engage are fundraising for Lastovičky Košice, a window cleaning company who train and provide work for people experiencing homelessness in the city of Košice in Slovakia. They work with local homeless shelters to identify suitable candidates, then offer them the opportunity to train under the supervision of experienced cleaners, and job opportunities once they are trained.

To raise fund for this brilliant cause, during February and March we will be trying to cover the distance between our office in Leicester and Košice as a team.

According to my good friend Google Maps, that is a distance of 1159 miles, or 1865.23km.

Quite a long way! But luckily, there are 29 of us. So, over 60 days in February and March we need to average 31km per day, or just over 1km per person. Any kind of movement counts: walking, running, swimming, hiking, walking the dog, playing with the kids, whatever gets us from A to B!

We’ll be kicking off on Monday 31st January, and sharing our progress throughout February and March.
