Story
On Sunday, I am joining an incredible group of men & women in Kabale in Uganda , lead by Kai, Perter and Ryan, for 8 days to completely renovate and further develop the new Abode Project site.
The ABODE Project recently bought and secured more land in Kabale, Uganda on which a closed school is built. The school fell into financial difficulty some years back but The ABODE Project is going to breathe new life into it and change 100’s of lives in the process. I are now working to raise £2,000 for the #abodeproject to help rebuild & renovate the new Abode School and orphanage in Kabale, Uganda. Every penny donated will go directly to educate, feed, entertain and keep 150-200 kids safe everyday.
They have worked tirelessly for a long time, they are an inspiration and we're very grateful for the opportunity to support them.
I doubt you need me to tell you that right now there are hundreds of orphaned children in Uganda with no access to education, limited access to food, nowhere safe to live and almost zero possibility of making it out of poverty without your help.
Just think about that for a minute….
Countless disadvantaged kids born into a struggle through no fault of their own.
"We are too poor to afford Education, but until we get Education we will remain poor"
Honestly though, I can’t imagine. Not even for a second. It’s beyond my comprehension as I was lucky enough to have been born where I was born, to have had access to healthcare and education and to have never known what true hunger is.
Even more so when you realise you’re reading this on an £800 iPhone, probably sitting comfortably somewhere. Maybe drinking a £3 cup of coffee that you might not even finish….
What I am doing though is asking for your help. We need your support to help us build this new facility and change the lives of hundreds of children as well as future generations and local community as a whole
It is an amazing site, right in the heart of the community but it needs extensive renovation and rebuilding to get it up to the required standard to take in 200 children that will be educated, fed, watered and entertained in a safe environment all year round. (You can see the new school site on Kai's page by clicking here )
The trip is self funded but we are hoping for donations. As I've outlined below even small donations will be able to make a huge difference in these children's lives:
£6 - Teacher accommodation for a month
£50 - A teacher’s salary for a month
£150 - Food for up to 100 kids, 3 times a day for a week
£1000 - Amazing playground for the younger kids - all made locally
£1250 - Fully build and equipped classroom for 30 kids - We are looking to build 4
£1500 - New football pitch
£1, £5, £20, £100, anything you can spare will go SO far……literally the price of a Nandos or a trip to cinema could change so many kids lives…
Do it for the good vibrations.....the universe will pay it back in abundance I promise!
We’ll do the heavy lifting, the sweating, bleeding and the grafting. All you need to do show a little love, help me spread the word and chuck a few quid in the pot.
