The inspiration behind this project was collaboration and cultural dance exploration. There is a wealth of talented teachers and dancers based in Sheffield that specialise in world/cultural dance styles. Migration has played an important part in these dance and music reaching beyond their countries of origin. The dance teachers have explored each others’ dance language and identities to create synergetic sections of this dance piece. The community cast, from all walks of life, have embraced dance styles from other cultures.
