When we went to Cyprus recently, we saw hundreds of cats managing to get enough food to get by - except the cat we nicknamed Scruffs. He was filthy, with maggots in his tail and his backbones visible through his fur.

He wasn‘t a cute kitten getting attention and he wasnt eating the food we gave him ( I wasnt put off by his appearance). Instead of eating he just curled up on my lap and wanted love and affection. Unable to bear seeing him slowly starve to death we took him to the amazing Paphiakos animal sanctuary as a rescue cat and he had some rotten and decaying teeth causing him agony and preventing him from eating or grooming himself, which he has since had treated.

As they wouldnt let him go back on the streets and cats rarely get rehomed we decided to bring him here to live with us and the process has begun. It is lengthy and expensive and we were hoping that there might be friends and family who would be willing to help us make this happen. He deserves the spoiling and adoration he will get from us and we will be eternally grateful for any help....😻😻😻
