The Mendip Country Practice would like to thank all of our patients for their support and understanding while we have all as a community been faced with challenging times during the pandemic.

It's times like this we all need to stick together, to be kind and patient with one another.

We have discussed as a team how we can show our appreciation and understanding of how difficult these times have been for us all so, we want to help our local community. We've got our heads together and decided to find out a little more about the Coleford Food Bank, which not only helps the residents of Coleford but also the surrounding villages. We thought about raising money to donate Christmas parcels. As we looked into this, we were told it was a great idea, however they really need everyday food items/cleaning and hygene products. they would also like to be able to purchase a shed in the future to be able to store more donations.

FOOD! - with your help we can help supply products and items that are desperately needed

HOW DO WE BUY? - we get on a bike and raise as much money as possible.

OUR PLAN! starting the first week in October, Mendip Country Practice promises to cycle as many miles as possible (at least 100 a week) on an exercise bike at the back of reception. At any given opportunity someone will be on there, we will record our miles and do regular updates on our new Facebook page. You will have proof of all staff on the bike, but I can't promise the Lycra.

We decided to start the first week in October and we will continue to do this until the first week in December. If we promise to do 100 miles a week, we can reach 1000 miles by that time. Our aim is to raise £1000 by then, to support Coleford Food Bank and keep our community smiling.
