I am planning to be buying some clothes and distribute them to all the mental health care wards and units in UK and in abroad to help some of the mental health patients who are in needs of some clothing materials.
I have observed that some mentally ill-health patients have no family to support them with clothing. All the clothes that I will be buying would be distributed to all the patients in mental health care secured wards and units and those on the streets both UK and in Africa wherever we can reach.
Also to support their families who need to buy their prescribed long term medicines with some money in Africa.
This matter to me because I work closely with mentally challenged patients and I have observed the needs of some of them. I have also seen some of these people sitting down outside my house. When I travelled to Africa, I have seen some mentally challenged people walking on the streets wearing totally torn ragged clothes. I had also visited one of the mental health hospitals in Africa I was told that most of the patients’ families could not afford to buy the medicines prescribed for them when they are discharged, as a result, the patients are brought back in crises.

Costs
1. UK = 10 - 5 Mental health trusts + 5 Dementia Care Homes
UK 10 =£500 x 10 = £5,000
2. Africa 50 countries x £500 (£300 clothes +£200 meds support)= £25,000
3. Shipping and postages of clothes to all countries = about £5,000
4. Transport and Communication = £15,000
Total = £50,000.
