    Story

This year Metricell will be supporting 3 different charities.

Chestnut Tree House will be our primary charity for the year and will receive 50% of the overall donations. Horsham Matters as a secondary charity and our third charity will be confirmed soon, both secondary charities will receive 25% of the overall donations each.

**Our first and main event of the year will be the Centurion Challenge. 9 Brave employees will be taking on this daring challenge by attempting to complete 100km in just 24hrs. Starting at Old Winchester Hill, the group will traverse the stunning South Downs national park covering undulating hills, picturesque towns and rugged landscapes before concluding at The Big Blue (Metricell HQ). Along the way there will be highs and lows (pun intended) both mentally and physically in what will be an extreme test of endurance for everyone involved, including the support team. How do you make this already impossible challenge even more difficult: aim to complete it in under 24 hours. Please help support our team by making a donation. All funds raised will be donated to our wonderful chosen charities.

All donations for all events can be donated here and at the end of the year the donations will be split between our chosen charities. We have some amazing events this year and have set our biggest fundraising target to do date. Lets smash this target by coming together and supporting our charities and our event participants.

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire. Thanks to support from the local community, children and families who know they don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full and say goodbye in the way that is right for them. Horsham Matters is a local charity who work tirelessly to help local families and communities with food banks, night shelters, crises support and community support. With the cost of living rising dramatically this is only going to have an impact on the already increasing numbers of families using food banks and requesting help. As part of our new charity plan we would like to partner with charities that reflect what is going on in the world. Horsham Matters

Our final charity has been nominated by our fellow colleague in Spain, Jose Manuel Rodriguez and won the voting opportunity. This year we are trying to think more 'international' by joining forces with our over seas offices. Jose is extremely passionate about this charity and works closely with them, adopting dogs and volunteering. A.P.A.R.I.V is a small, registered charity whose sole purpose is the care and welfare of abandoned and neglected dogs. Founded 20 years ago, the refuge is located in the hills just outside of the town of Rincon de la Victoria in the Malaga province. The number of dogs varies but usually fifty to sixty dogs are in care at any given time.

The primary goal–and dream–is to find a new and safe home for each dog whether in or outside of Spain. In the event a suitable home cannot be found, the dog will remain in the care of the shelter and live its life out at the refuge. They have a small group of volunteers who work at the refuge on a daily basis to care for the dogs.

This charity are no different than any other charity in that they always need help. Since they do not receive any governmental funding, monetary donations are a life line and are always greatly appreciated. They also welcome anyone who is willing to help as a volunteer, to foster a dog and /or become a member of our association.
