In July 2018 (straight after my GCSE's), I will be one of a group of 11 who have been chosen to take part in an amazing opportunity to travel to Namibia for 2 weeks and give a helping hand to a local community. We will be working on a specific project which could be decorating a school, building a well, developing vegetable patches - something that will make a huge difference to the community. We will finish off our adventure with a 2 day Desert Trek and Safari to see the fantastic local wilderness.

I have already raised money by car booting, a cake sale, a school disco an Easter quiz and providing refreshments at our school events. To raise more money myself and the group will be taking part in this years Orwell Walk on Sunday 25th June 2017 where we will be walking 19 miles. Not only will we be raising money it will prepare us for our trek whilst we are there.
