After spending a chunk of our year there we are raising money to be able to donate a Christmas theme book to every NICU bed space at New Cross Wolverhampton where our Alfie spent the first few months of his life earlier this year and in memory of our boy Olly.

We found reading to Alfie so comforting even tho it was through an incubator door for a long time until he got stronger. Now he absolutely loves books!

Studies have shown that reading to your child whilst in Intensive Care can help comfort them and they will learn to know your voices! I have recently started a Children's Book business through Usborne Books (Jolly Olly Book Corner) and wanted to give a little back the amazing unit and know 1st hand how nice it is to see a little gift next your baby when you arrive for your visit. Christmas is a horrible time to spend in a hospital so we wanted to give a little cheer to the parents who can enjoy bonding with their baby whilst reading them a story on Christmas Day!

As I will order the books through my site I will donate all my commission front the order to the hospital also as seriously every penny counts to them!

Our aim is to do the 6 Intensive Care bed spaces and the 2 cubicles. If we raise more we will do the 5 High Dependancy spaces and then the 12 Special Care spaces.
